The Amoeba

The amoeba was the instrument that started the spark for creating the guitars with the shape that I do.

The idea behind the shape of the amoeba was to create a huggable guitar. Something that was comfortable no matter how you play or where you place the guitar on your body.

I also wanted to accommodate the guitar for women’s bodies in specific. As a woman, I found that a lot of the time while playing, part of my body was being squished or pinched in a way that made it uncomfortable to play. I modified and reshaped the guitar until it was the perfect shape not only to hug, but to fit your body.

I play mostly surf rock, or rock and as such decided that a Stratocaster style, three single coils, two tone and one volume knob combination would be a wonderful way to bring this guitar to life.

When I finished this guitar, I thought it was a great representation of surf rock.
